The most popular question I get asked by clients is: 'So how long have you been doing this for?' And the answer is, since my second son was a teeny baby - which is 8 years ago now!
When my son was born (by the way, did I mention I have four sons altogether?!) I didn't even know that newborn photography was a 'thing', but I did later have some baby pictures of him on location and I was in awe of the photographer and the session as a whole. Cue second son arriving and I looked to get some equally gorgeous pictures of him also, but I just couldn't seem to find what I was looking for. In the end I signed up for one of those 'free photo session' with 'no obligation to buy' all white backdrop studio experiences, and it just didn't give me what I was looking for. I was hoping for colour, baby poses and cuteness overload, but it wasn't meant to be. Arriving home a little deflated, I decided that I would do it myself! I had a strong interest in photography and had studied dark room processing at University but I started at the bottom and taught myself how to use my camera properly and embarked on a wonderful journey!
During this time I have been lucky to mother four wonderful little boys and with tiny business budding I was able to draw upon my experiences as a new Mum together with my love of photographing babies. I have thought very carefully about how to support new Mums with the photography package I offer in the hope of creating a wonderful memory for them.
It has been extremely important for me to travel to homes to photograph baby as I remember just how difficult it was trying to get out of the house in the early days in between the feeding, winding, nappy changing routine! That coupled with sleep deprivation, I struggle to make any decisions -so searching through endless photography options was an absolute mine-field! By using an 'all-inclusive' styled package, you can have the best of both worlds with both digital files and prints with no cost surprised in store. Everything is aimed to be easy and relaxed for both Mum and Baby and this is something I am proud of.
